Each plug is plated with 24-karat gold and has 8 compression springs that allow the plug to positively lock into the jack, eliminating any annoying static. The plugs also have rigid plastic molded directly over a copper cylinder surrounding the solder points for maximum protection. A durable, ergonomically shaped plug housing is then overmolded throughout the plug, offering supreme strain relief.
