We have learned from experience with the Yamaha NTX and NCX guitars that many players prefer them slightly customised.

Working with customers, we have put together the following package -

New bone saddle, compensated on the G/3 string.
Set of D'Addario Pro Arte Composite strings, high tension EJ46C
Truss rod / neck relief adjusted to optimum playing position
String action set to your requirements

4mm standard classical
3.5mm low classical
3.0mm near-flamenco

(all measurements taken from top of 12th fret to underside of E/6 string and are accurate +/- 0.3mm)

Please be aware that when the action is set low, there will be more string/fret noise than when action is set high.. It is also important to remember that because no 2 guitars are absolutely identical, it may not be possible to reduce the action to the same extent on all guitars.

Please note - this service is only available when buying a Yamaha NCX or NTX guitar from us or if you return a guitar which you previously bought from us.

Delivery throughout the mainland UK is free as usual. If you are not in the mainland UK, please phone (+44 (0)1363 881174) or email for delivery charges to your location - please tell us what you want to buy as well as your full postal address.
