With the Watermill WG-210 CWE Cutaway Guitar we hope we have the best-sounding, best-playing, best-looking electro-cutaway-classical guitar available at this price.

Comes with Fishman Electronics.

The guitar has good volume, a ringing tone, and very reasonable sustain. Factors which contribute to its unplugged qualities include -

  • The body is full-sized;
  • The soundboard is solid cedar;
  • the back and sides are of laminated Indian rosewood.
  • There is a 12-hole tie-block increasing the downward pressure of the strings
  • The saddle is compensated to improve intonation

It is fitted with the latest Fishman Aero-Blend electronics. These feature -

  • Fishman piezzo under-saddle pickup
  • Built-in condensor microphone;
  • Preamp with the following controls
    • Volume
    • Bass, Middle, Treble
    • Notch and Phase to reduce feedback
    • Mic / pickup blender
  • Built in tuner
  • Battery charge indicator
  • Intelligent muting of the preamp when the tuner is in use

The guitar is very handsome with contrasting purfling and back decoration; as well as a headstock which is veneered back as well as front.

Position markers on the side of the fingerboard at frets 5 and 7.

The WG-210 CWE is manufactured in China and then sent to a leading independent German luthier to be reworked and fully set up. Each guitar is refretted, a new nut is fitted as well as a new compensated saddle (to our own specification improving intonation), then new Rubner tuners, and finally new Savarez strings. Every single guitar is subject to the renowned German standards of quality control.
