Unbeatable sound for this price. Oval soundhole Gypsy Jazz ("manouche-jazz") guitar designed by Serge Gallato and based on the Django Reinhart style guitar, first made by Mario Maccaferri.

This is the starter model from Acoustic France. Like their pro-models, it was designed by Serge Gallato, and it has an unbeatable sound at this price-point (read more about the Gallato workshop at http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gallato ).

A left-handed model was introduced in 2011 and we try to keep 1 in stock even though they are not so easy to get hold of as there are very few quality left-handed Django/Maccaferri style guitars available.

The guitar has a solid spruce soundboard, walnut neck, mahogany back and sides.

The makers particularly mention that guitar has good projection, and its neck is easy to play.

Made in China under the supervision of the luthiers from Acoustic France.
