Classical cutaway electro-acoustic with 12-fret neck join.

The flamed maple back and sides really makes this model stand out in the range. Typically maple gives a guitar a crisper, clearer, slightly less less resonant tone than does rosewood. This allows it to cut through making it particularly good for solo playing as well as a percussive "edge" when playing rythm. A very attractive guitar with a lovely mahogany, padauk and abalone rosette!

Special Set Up

We have successfully set up Yamaha NX series guitars to give a brighter tone and lower action than they come with as standard.

This involves restringing - strings of your choice, making and fitting a new lower, compensated bone saddle, and setting the neck relief.

You pay only for the strings and the blank bone. Please phone when ordering.
