Unique, Spanish-pedigree dreadnought from Alhambra.

The Alhambra W1 comes from the Alhambra Dreadnought (W) series of guitars. We feature the version with the cedar soundboard.

The W1 has -

  • Soundboard of solid red cedar (or solid spruce to order)
  • Sides and back of solid mahogany
  • Spanish heel neck-body join in the classical style
  • Cedar neck, reinforced with a truss rod
  • Indian rosewood fingerboard
  • Nickel Plated machine heads
  • Maple bindings
  • Natural coloured veneers rosette
  • Nut width 44mm
  • Scale length 650mm
  • Depth of neck at first fret 20.5mm
  • Depth of neck at 9th fret 23.5mm
  • Depth of Body at heel 104mm
  • Depth of Body at base 122mm
  • Body shape Dreadnought
  • Gloss finish.
  • Transparent pickguard
  • Compensated, two part saddle

The Alhambra W series of acoustic steel string guitars all have sold cedar of spruce soundboards but there are alternatives when it comes to back and sides -

  • W1 - solid mahogany
  • W2 - solid ovangkol
  • W3 - solid Indian rosewood.

The W3 version was described as "An uncommon fusion of dreadnought and Spanish elements in a rich-sounding, smooth-playing flattop" in a review in Acoustic Guitar magazine.
