The Blueridge BR-160 dreadnought from Saga's Historic Series is very similar to and - by all reports - compares very favourably to the Martin D-28/HD-28. The makers describe it as a "pre-war inspired 'herringbone' dreadnaught". Many owners however simply say it's a lovely guitar in its own right.

In traditional as well as natural finish. Price includes a fitted case (the makers change the case often so please phone to check what is currently in stock).

A historical note: The dreadnought guitar was named after the very large battleship HMS Dreadnought when it was first made by Martin during the first world war - this was because the guitar body was so much larger than all the other guitars of the time. (The style is sometimes misspelled "dreadnaught" [Wikipedia ])
