"Dear Nick, The Ramirez guitar you sold me is a joy to play. The strings fall under my fingers in a way they just didn't with my old guitar, and the quality of the sound (especially with hard tension strings on) is lovely. Pieces I've been playing for years have come alive in new ways as parts of the melody have emerged from the mud, and the spooky sustaining effects of the instrument's resonance occasionally make me think someone else is playing along! It's definitely easier to play than my old one - I suspect simply because everything is in a consistent place and there are no oddities to catch you out. It's surprising how quickly you realise you don't need the position indicators on the neck too. Thanks for all the time you spent with me back in April. Based on the template of the E line, designed by Jose Ramirez III, Amalia Ramirez has created this model as a limited edition which will be built between 2007 and 2012 commemorating the 125th anniversary of the house of Ramirez.

This guitar is made entirely from solid woods: red cedar soundboard, sides and back in Indian rosewood, solid ebony fingerboard, cedar neck. This is a special design, with a very carefully designed mosaic around the soundhole and repeated on the bridge support. The same design on the purflings of the soundboard completes the set. The string length is 650mm.
