A wonderful, bold tone on this guitar from Armin Hanika's Studio Line. By making worthwhile economies where it does not affect the quality of the sound - a matt finish and a rosewood fingerboard - Armin Hanika manages to build a guitar with a musicality equal to instruments at least 20% more expensive.

The 50MC as a solid cedar soundboard and the 50MF a solid spruce soundboard. Both have solid mahogany back and sides.

"Just to let you know I received the guitar (Hanika 50MC customised with shorter scale-length and narrower neck) ... and I am very happy with it. It is as you described it and I imagined it, an instrument low in ornamentation and finish but high in essential criteria... The sound is loud, clear and balanced with a dry woody flavour that I believe is down to the mahogany body. I particularly like the bridge which gives maximum angle to the strings and allows suitable lowering of the action while still maintaining a respectable angle. The workmanship and construction is excellent with good fretting and respectable tuners and the (optional) scale length of 64cm with a 50mm nut suits me perfectly. Thanks for your help in this transaction."

Hanika has a collection of matured woods going back decades and the materials for the model 50M are selected from this.

20 frets, American cedar neck with ebony reinforcement, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, bone saddle and quality Rubner tuners.

The finish is matt throughout.
