The CS-2 CW is a mid-priced version of the much-praised Alhambra "Crossover" range of nylon strung, cut-away guitars.

The Crossover range of hand crafted classical guitars are set-up to make steel-string guitar players feel at home. Compared with the traditional classical guitar, it has a narrower and shallower neck, with a "C" profile, lower action, and a rounded fingerboard. It is perfect for the guitarist who is used to a steel-strung guitar - acoustic or electric solid-body - and who wants to make the transition to classical playing or who wants to add the nylon-strung sound to his or her repertoire.

The CS-2 CW model features:

  • Solid German Spruce or Red Cedar soundboard
  • Solid Ovangkol back and sides
  • Ebony Fingerboard
  • Gold plated Machine Heads.
  • Fitted with Alhambra (D'addario) Extra High Tension.

The Crossover range of guitars all share some common features:

  • Standard Gloss finish.(Matt to order)
  • Width at nut: 48mm (typical classical guitar 52mm)
  • Scale length: 650mm
  • Depth of neck at nut: 20mm
  • Depth of neck at heel: 23.5mm
  • Depth of body at upper bout: 95mm
  • Depth of body at lower bout: 102mm
  • Position markers at frets 3, 5, 7 and 9 on the side of the fingerboard.
  • 19 frets
  • Ebony fingerboard (rosewood on the CS1)
  • Distinctive and elegant bridge and headstock designs.
  • Strung with D'Addario extra high tension long-life strings.
