Classical Guitars PLUS merges my personal and my professional interests. I have played the guitar now for over 40 years and the small company of which I am a part builds and manages internet and e-commerce systems.

The final impetus for setting up the business was when the neck of the guitar which I had played since I was a teenager came adrift from the body and I treated myself to one of Renato Bellucci's hand-built Paraguyan cutaway guitars. I thought there would be other people like me who wanted a quality hand-built instrument from lesser known makers, instruments which often offered greater value for money than those from the better known makers and which always offered individuality and a special relationship between player and instrument. As the business has grown we have slowly but surely increased the number of makers we represent (Liikanen, Alhambra, Gropp, Martin, Manouche, Gitane, Savarez, D'Addario, Hannabach, Aquila, etc) and have learned how to select the better and more interesting guitars we think our customers will appreciate.

Not least among the benefits of running this site has been the chance to get more involved with the makers and with other players.
