Hanika Customised Classical Guitars
I like Hanika guitars because -
- They sound good by any standards,
- They are well-built and meticulously finished,
- Materials and components are chosen to give the best possible sound at each price point, rather than just the best possible look or impression,
- They are well priced, and
- Not least, because they can be ordered with a broad range of customisations - meaning you can pick the exact design which suits you best.

Hanika 58PC and 50MC guitars built with options: the 58PC has 63cm scale, 50mm nut width and radiused fingerboard; the 50MC has 64cm scale and 50mm nut width.
The majority of models can be ordered with a choice of soundboard - solid spruce or cedar - but the options go well beyond this.
Firstly you can choose the scale length. This effectively means that there is no compromise on volume or tonal qualities when buying a "small" guitar. Scales available on full-sized bodied guitars are
- 620mm
- 630mm
- 640mm
- and even a longer than normal 660mm.
Then there is a range of neck widths which can be selected independently of scale -
- 48mm (neck width at nut ),
- 50mm,
- and even a wider than normal 54mm.
As if this wasn't enough, Hanika also offer to build any of their guitars with a curved ("radiused") fingerboard in order to offer the greater ease of play enjoyed by steel string and electric guitarists. Classical guitar purists may not approve but those finding that bar chords are holding back their enjoyment may feel quite otherwise! The size of the radius can be selected (although it is not advisable to have too much of a curve).

Other options include
- Left-handed models
- Back binding
- French polished soundboard
- AER AD15+ pick up and pre-amplifier.
Hanika charge for most options (other than the choice of soundboard wood) but the charges are very reasonable indeed in relation to the price of the guitar and you end up with a customised instrument for only a little bit more than you would have paid for a standard model.
Most Hanika guitars have to be made to order (customised or not) and if you want further information on options, prices and availability, please phone or contact us.
