Pete Beer Luthier

Pete Beer builds his guitars from what he describes as "idyllic surroundings" in Herefordshire, generally making guitars one at a time or in very small batches.

He graduated with a 1st class honours degree in Musical Instrument Technology from London Metropolitan University (formerly Guildhall College of Furniture), having studied with Dave King, Norman Myall and Martin Bowers. Before that he spent two years studying Stringed Instrument Repair at Anniesland College under Paul Hyland and Bill Kelday - whom he describes as inspirational teachers.

Pete unusually combines a talent and enthusiasm for the practical craft of musical instrument building with a gift for academic study in musical acoustics.

We guitarists are lucky that he focuses his talents on our instrument of choice!

Pete has his own web site.
