If you have an Alhambra guitar - an Alhambra classical guitar, flamenco guitar, or a steel string guitar - it is important to know what strings the makers fit as standard. This doesn't mean you have to follow Alhambra's lead slavishly - other strings by other makers might suit your ears better - but at least you will know how to get back to the sound the guitar had when you first bought it.

What strings are fitted to your classical guitars?

ALHAMBRA: Currently we fit extra high tension strings by D?Addario (Extra High Tension Pro Arte EXP). Some years ago we also purchased strings from Gally of Italy.

Do all your nylon strung guitars have the same strings irrespective of price or type?

ALHAMBRA: Yes, every nylon strung guitar has the same strings including the cheaper models, the crossover models and our flamencas.

What strings are normally fitted to your steel strung guitars?

ALHAMBRA: Gauge 0.012-0.053 usually from D?Addario. For the moment, on some models (Models 4 and Luthier), we still use strings from Elixir but these modes too will have D?Addario strings in the future.
