Customised Classical guitars from Alhambra
Alhambra are the largest maker of classical and flamenco guitars in Spain and, after "Ramirez", probably the best known name. As well as standard body classicals and flamencas, there are also cutaway versions of both.
The Alhambra range runs from starter guitars with laminated backs and sides, through student and advanced student models with either laminated or solid back and sides, up to luthier built instruments. There is also the special groups of "crossover" models - nylon string guitars with necks and fingerboards built to feel comfortable for the steel string acoustic guitarist.
Alhambra offers a number of options. Some are available for all models, others not -
- Right and left-handed - available for all models
- Standard and smaller scale - different options available for various models
- Pickups and Preamps - available for all models
- Tap-plates / pickguards - Fitted as standard to most flamenco models but available for all classical as well as flamenco guitars
- Gloss and matt finishes - Available on all models
- Normal and thin bodies - Thin bodies only available for certain cutaway classical and flamenco models
